fic: Thou Unknown I Know (Supernatural; Kat)

Jan 28, 2007 15:45

So I rewatched "Asylum" (and "Scarecrow") earlier, and this is what happened. This is not the story I planned to write about Kat, but I like it.

Thou Unknown I Know
Supernatural; Kat; pg; 820 words
The more she thinks about it, the more she knows she can't just pretend she doesn't know.

I believe with / doubt. I doubt and / interrupt my doubt with belief. )

fic: supernatural, kat from asylum

Very nice! I'd like to see her meet up with Sam and Dean again one day.

Thanks! That's actually a story I want to write, but this is what came out today. *g*

when she hears about the mysterious drownings in the Pecatonica, only about twenty miles away, she packs her bag with salt, lighter fluid, and the EMF meter. She slips a small flashlight into her pocket, along with some extra batteries, and the three-pack of Bic lighters she picked up at the newsstand a couple of weeks ago.

This just killed me, because such simple items that make her seem so unprepared, but really, she's got the basic tools of the trade. Guess she'll find out if she's prepared mentally, though, once she gets there.

I like this quite a bit.

Thanks! And thanks for reminding me I didn't mean for her to forget the shotgun!

This is nifty. :) And while they wouldn't like to hear about it, I think the boys would be proud of her, if she doesn't get herself killed.

(have seen all of season 1 now. Am working on season 2.)

Thanks! And yeah, I think they'd be proud if she did well, but unhappy that she felt she had to do anything at all.

It's about time!

Oh, cool. I particularly like the way the boyfriend is the one who can't deal, who pulls back from acknowledging what he saw.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. And yeah, I like the idea of Kat - the tiny blonde girl - being the one to pick up hunting and the boyfriend just refusing to deal at all.

Oooh, yay! I love the idea that Kat decides to become a hunter, and I love so much how you've capture her thought process here, facing up to something she refuses to deny and taking action. Simply wonderful.

Thanks so much! I'm so glad it worked for you. I am very fond of the idea that some of the people they've helped - Kat and Emily, mostly - take up hunting, because now that they know, they can't do nothing.
