Summary: Louis is in deep dirt.
Louis nodded his head to the left.
“My left hand is loose.”
His cousin patted the ground around the back of his neck and then turned his attention to the moving earth off to the left. A few moments later, the ground was secure again.
“Better?”
“Yes.”
The Potter climbed off his knees and jumped around the ground beside Louis’ head. It seemed solid enough.
“You can still breath?”
“Yes.”
“And it will take you at least half of the night to dig yourself out?”
“Of that I’m sure.”
Albus brushed the dirt off his hands and then off the knees of his jeans. He sighed and then picked up the spade.
“You’ve learned your lesson?”
“I think so. Yes.”
“Well then. Goodnight.”
The brunette set off back to the castle, the spade slung over his shoulder, a bright whistle coming from his lips.
Louis tried to move in his soily grave. The bed of the Forbidden Forest didn’t move. He sighed.
Glancing at the ground that under which was his right arm, he winced. This isn’t going to be pleasant.
He took a deep breath, uttered the incantation as loudly as he dared. There was an explosion of soil and he coughed and spluttered for air as most of it came tumbling back down on top of him. Once half of his body was only buried by loose soil, Louis set about digging himself out.
It took about ten minutes for Louis to completely rid himself of the larger lumps of soil. He still had dirty smears across his face and clothes but he decided it gave him quite a rugged look. He laughed to himself as he recovered his wand from a pile of dirt.
“Have I learnt of the consequences? Yes. Would I ever consider doing that again?... hell yeah.”
