"You've gotten stronger," Tyki stated, almost as if surprised as he quickly jumped back in order to avoid the fire seal that was charging at him.
Across from him, Lavi glared. He gripped his Innocence tighter as lightning began to surround the head. "Y'don't sound too surprised by it."
Tyki smiled - the kind of smile a predator would give its prey. The Bookman's eye narrowed. "Oh, I am. Now, I wonder how that happened," Tyki said as he looked down at the redhead, his eyes glinting in interest.
Lavi frowned. "That ain't really any o' your business now is it?"
The Noah of Pleasure opened his mouth to say something before snapping it shut when lightning charged at hm. Tyki quickly jumped away and his eyes narrowed into cat-like slits. He grinned. This was the most fun he ever had in a while. Lavi hid a wince as he felt the seal on his back began to activiate. He knew that the phoenix within him was just begging to be released, to fight against its natural enemy. The Bookman can't allow that to happen. Not yet.
He quickly jumped away when Tyki charged at him and he swung his hammer down at the Noah. Sparks flew as the two continued to fight; Innocence and Dark Matter clashing with each other as the two beasts within them stirred, craving to fight against its enemy. However, it abruptly ended when Lavi's Innocence shattered and Tyki had the Bookman pinned to the ground by the neck. Tyki smirked.
"Strong, but still not strong enough to defeat me, Lavi."
Lavi scowled. "So sure about that, ya damn snake?"
Tyki's eyes widened when flames suddenly erupted around them, and he jumped back, knowing that if those flames touched him, he'll die. The Noah grinned as he saw the flames cover Lavi and the familiar screech was heard. His smirk widened when the phoenix appeared, dying the sky red as it unraveled its wings. Embers fell from the phoenix like snow and dark gold eyes stared down at the Noah. Tyki grinned. Now the fun had finally begun.
"We shouldn't have left Lavi to fight by himself," Allen said as he looked over at Fourteenth. The Noah smiled. He replied, "It's what he wanted, Allen. Besides, I have much faith that Lavi is capable of defeating Tyki on his own."
Behind them, Kanda scoffed. "The damn idiot is just going to get himself killed."
"Since when have you cared Yu?" Fourteenth asked with a smirk. Kanda glared at him. "I don't. I'm just telling the truth. The phoenix isn't as strong as the rest of us."
Allen bit his lip, worried, before coming to a decision. He looked over at Kanda.
"Lavi is strong just as the rest of us, Kanda. He can handle it. After all, Lavi was strong enough to subdue you."
Kanda scowled at the 'Destroyer of Time' but Allen wasn't fazed by it. Fourteenth just laughed as he turned his gaze back to the screen on the wall where it showed a phoenix and a giant snake fighting. He watched with interest as the two great beasts attacked each other, before something else caught his eye. The Earl. And alongside him, Rhode Camelot and Wisely. A mysterious smile appeared on Fourteenth's face.
He said, "It appears as though we've got more guests. Perhaps we should go and greet them."
The two Exorcists glanced at each other before nodding in agreement. After all, Lavi couldn't have all the fun to himself now, could he?
Meanwhile, in the screen, an explosion erupted, and the image of the phoenix and the snake was falling.
