[10_hurt_comfort] challenge: Supernatural - Sam Winchester: INJURED

Summary: Sam Winchester gets beat up a lot, but this is probably the worst he's sustained.
All he remembers before the air is sucked from his life is the monstrous figure that holds his neck while suspending his body in the air. His lungs burn, his mouth gapes, but Sam cannont breathe. The slash in his arm emits no pain, he’s too focused on his closed windpipes, and the blood dripping down his face pays no distraction; Sam just wants to breathe. He struggles with his body, attempts to kick at the creature, but it’s too strong for him. As the lights dim and Sam feels nauseous, a bang and sudden thud cause Sam to take in a fresh breath of air as he lands hard on his side and gasps. Dean, his brother, has reloaded the shotgun, and having previously been thrown into a wall, gathers himself and attacks. Being bruised was the most damage his brother sustained, but unfortunately for Sam, he got the worst of it.
Sam’s foot appears to be sprained because when he stands up there is immediate pain, and he has to limp just to get away. Dean’s not the only one with the shotgun and once Sam finds his weapon, he has to support himself on a wall to shoot the creature which now has his brother by the throat. The shells are filled with rocksalt, and though it won’t kill the creature, it’ll be enough to injure and repel it. It’s a fairly easy monster to dispose of thankfully, but only when it tastes silver. Obtaining the silver in liquid form wasn’t an easy task either, but once they’d had what they needed, the brothers went in search for it and planned to kill it right there no problem.
But it appeared that the creature had the same thing on its mind about the two, and lucky for it, it was winning. That is until Dean quickly grabbed the vial of liquid silver from his pocket, opened the top, and yelled “open wide” before grabbing the monster’s mouth and pouring it in. Almost immediately, the creature begins to scream in anguish and twitches from the pain as Dean drops to the floor. As he backs away, the silver quickly burns from the inside and literally eats away at the creature’s body as then proceeds to turn into ash. Suddenly, the body bursts into a combustion of light that has enough momentum to throw both Winchester’s off balance and Sam into a wall where his head meets the stucco. It hurt, but didn’t do anymore damage than what he’d already had previously. The monster was dead, the brother’s were still alive, and their job was done. But what a number it had done on Sam and he felt like sleeping for two days.
