LJ name is Koram Dancer, a vampire character I created for gaming who took on a life of his own through numerous short stories and two volumes of poetry. The DM was stunned!
In real life, I'm Orion and an admin assistant, pushing numbers and phone calls around for not much fun and profit.
I've been a lot of things-English teacher, librarian, bookstore owner, office temp, riding instructor, horse breeder, graphic arts department for a paper company. My avocation is making and selling beaded jewelry and etched glass to science fiction conventions and medieval recreationists (SCA). My dragons and griffins and horses/unicorns are considered collectible in my part of the Pacific Northwest near Seattle, WA. You can see some of my stuff on my web page, www.orionunlimited.seemywares.com, which I'm told will have to change to another location and address this fall.
Besides my vampires, I most often write slash (usually male/male). One volume of a proposed 2-volume set has been published as a fanzine called THIEVES IN TIME, set in the universe of Blake's Seven, a defunct science fiction show from Britain in the 70's. Another story and poetry in the same universe were published in others' zines.
When I get going, poetry just...explodes from me. A series of computer generated cartoons are awaiting the time and effort to get them published. I just finished a book on writing that recommends writing 1000 words a day, five days a week, and I've been trying. Yellow legal pads filled with a new set of characters. Wish I knew where they were going!
As I often am on the road selling on weekends, I may not be able to finish every assignment here, but I'll give it a try! Sounds like fun!
Oh, and I currently live alone with my books and my cats: Freya, Bastet, Beomi, and, the newest kitten, Nixe.
