So basically, Olivia here is what we like to call, kind of a slut, but not without her reasons, it's not that she'd cheat on a boyfriend or date a boy who has a girlfriend, but she tends to sleep around just a bit. Olivia, Gabriella, and Natalie all go to an all girl's boarding school called Saint Elizabeth's Academy in upstate NY, which is about 2-3 hours outside the city. Typically, Olivia goes for college boys, but, there is, however, one boy, right about her age (17) or in the college age bracket that she thinks is attractive and that she wants to get to know, but she's scared to talk to. That boy is your character, a.k.a. Writer Boy, who gained this nickname because he doesn't party like the rest of his friends, instead, when Olivia always sees him, he's writing, but this makes it hard for Olivia to talk to him, since it's sort of out of her element.
Now, Olivia isn't stupid, so if you want to make him quite intelligent, Olivia will still be able to talk to him, once she actually does. Anyway, basically, other than the fact that he writes while all of his friends party, all of the details about him can be your own. Mainly, Olivia just needs a stabilizing influence as far as boys go, and well, Writer Boy is exactly what the doctor ordered. Ask any questions and I'll answer, don't worry.
