Canon is a newly apocalyptic modern world in which humans begin randomly turning into grotesque homicidal monsters, triggered by having intense desires/weakness to feed off of. Theoretically everyone is “infected” - just a matter of your inner monster finding an opportunity. A very select few can keep themselves in the in-between state, healing quickly and using superhuman strength, with incredible willpower. Sang-wook hasn’t shown signs of turning yet.
