Other gods and demigods always wanted; cross canon is very adaptable. His basic canon is that beings exist if enough belief or focus exists to power them; they remain a secret by virtue of people's unwillingness to see impossible things. This includes gods from myths and new gods, like the internet and capitalism. Sweeney is an incarnation of a mad king of Ireland whose story transitioned into leprechaun-ism. He is roundly an unapologetic asshole with heart.
He had a particular affinity for his last true believer, the girl from Bantry, and I'd be interested in seeing him connect with her descendant(s). Doesn't really require much canon knowledge.
