Like most people in her line of work, being a Nightstalker wasn't the kind of life Bailey would have chosen for herself, she was born into it. Always a tomboy growing up, at first she thought it was amazing. Her parents and the people they worked with were practically superheroes, and she couldn't wait to following in their footsteps. It wasn't until she was a little older and finally realized what it really meant when her friends never came home that she started to shy away from it. Choosing to stay at the facility rather than hunting.
At 19, she cut the job, and her parents, out of her life completely. Moving into the city, she found a job at an art gallery, and finally started to live the normal life she'd been dreaming of for so long. Without the threat of those she loved being hurt constantly held over her head, she even started to date. Colin was the kind of guy she never would have met in her former life. Sweet, and kind. Maybe a little dull, but she could overlook that. It was what she wanted, after all. They dated for two years before he proposed.
Happy as she was, old habits die hard, and in a city like New York, it was hard not to notice the corruption that ran so much deeper than the everyday scum. Before she could realize what she was doing, Bailey was back out on the street doing what she had been raised for. But even in a city as big as this, nothing gets past the Nightstalkers, and her run didn't last long before they dragged her into the nearest facility. She assumed they were going to berate her, but instead, they recruited her.
Colin eventually got tired of her constant disappearing act, and the pathetic excuses she made up to cover for herself. Bailey was suprised to find that she didn't miss him half as much as she thought she would. Besides, the further away from this kind of life, the safer he would be. And Bailey? She was back where she belonged.
As anybody who has seen Blade: Trinity (or read the Night Stalker comics, which I'll admit I haven't done. I know, I'm a horrible fan!) knows, each facility has the same basic requirements. Hunters, of course, computer hackers to find any and all information they might need as well as monitor the CCTV cameras for disturbances, security in case of an attack on the facility, weapons experts, etc. If there's a job I didn't list, but that you think the facility needs/could use, by all means please let me know! I've very open to ideas and suggestions, so just shout them out, no hand raising necessary! All character personalites/backstories are entirely up to you. Just have fun with it!
