So, hey. I've asked for this before and I'm asking again because I really want these jerks to come around and harass Charlie again. This means the character is expendable. They are going to end up chased out of Charlie's life permanently in some way or another, unless we come up with some verse or storyline where this doesn't happen.
In the book Charlie comes from, The Shop (Also known as the U.S. Department of Scientific Intelligence) is kind of a big joke in the Goverment world. They screw up more than they succeed which is surprising considering the people that run it are all very smart.
They don't give a damn about morals, or laws, and consider themselves above all that.
They want Charlie back and while they thought she was dead for years, something she did has their attention again and they're after her once more whether it be just appearing in a photograph or something bigger, a use of her ability or something.
Since Charlie hasn't sensed them coming in a while, she's probably going to be slow to sense the danger so I was thinking what if this were someone already in her life? She frequents a library in either of her verses (I'm leaning towards the New Orleans verse but either works, really) so what if whoever noticed she was still alive arranged it so an agent worked there and they were gathering information on her? I'd like them to not be too much older than her? Not for shipping purposes.At all. Just Charlie has a huge mistrust of people too much older than her, other than her adopted grandfather.
