Lister here is able to manipulate his bone structure, ie. regenerate broken bones or make them protrude from his body and whatnot. Most of the time though, he doesn't use it because a. it hurts to have your bones rip through your skin from the inside of your body, and b. his power still freaks him out a little. His other power is the ability to transfer pain from one person to another through contact- however, he can't displace his own pain, despite being able to dump another person's pain into his own body. He's a bit of biological a martyr like that.
Gavril comes from a devoutly religious family so they were pretty quick to disown him when he came out; on the bright side, it saved him from having to come out again several years later when his abilities manifested.
Anywho, he needs some people to interact with and I'm pretty much open to anyone in any fandom, but there are specific characters I would like to have filled. :3
ex(?) boyfriend (super powers optional): I imagine him to be a slightly older (30-35), charming sociopath-type who looks to be unassuming. He's been with Gavril for three years in a totally fucked up dysfunctional relationship in which he (very) occasionally abuses him. Unfortunately, Lister is tragically in love with the guy, who can indeed be affectionate, depending on the day. On bad ones though, bruises are a common thing.
The reason there's a question mark beside 'ex' is because, well, they haven't officially broken up. During a particularly bad (and rather one-sided) fight, Gavril ended up pinned to the floor. This is when his ability decided to rear it's head - and Gavril hospitalized his boyfriend by accidentally stabbing him through the shoulder with a bone that suddenly tore through the base of his palm, effectively skewering him. Lister hasn't seen him since (about two or three months) but now he's beginning to get texts and phone calls which he's not really sure how to respond to. Inevitably, they do hook up again (despite roommate/bff's disapproval).
sidenote: to anyone who picks this character up: i'd love if you could give a bit more depth to the boyfriend rather than having him be a 2D 'horrible boyfriend' type- i would like for the guy to not be completely irredeemable and still maybe hold a little chemistry with Gavril.
roommate/bff (super powers optional): Basically his roommate is a childhood friend that Gavril's known since he was twelve, and who offered to leave with him when he was kicked out of his house at sixteen (post-coming out). They ended up finding a small flat which they rented (with some financial assistance from roommate/bff's parents) and have been pretty much living together since. At some point, roommate/bff's parents get in a car accident and die, leaving him with a comfortable sum of money which he receives when he hits eighteen. When he does, he uses it to move Gavril and himself to an apartment that's significantly less shitty. When Gavril's twenty, roommate/bff meets Gav's boyfriend, whom he dislikes immediately. Whenever things got progressively more fucked up in the relationship, roommate/bff was the one to take care of Gav. I like to think he at some point tried to scrap with the boyfriend too.
His personality is up to you, and he can have mutant powers too if you want. I was thinking maybe Orlando Bloom as the PB just because I really like that particular set of icons, but I'm open to pretty much anyone.
Errrrrmmmmm... that's about it for now, but I might come back to edit stuff later. Feel free to ask any questions if I wasn't clear on anything, as it's 5:00 in the morning and I'm groggily typing this post up.
