So Erica here is from a 'verse that originated in this MMW post, and has now moved to playing on SWS and its own comm.
Basically, the premise of the game is that children from around the world were taken in by the government and trained to become super-soldiers by running them through very advanced hologram programs that led them to believe that they were characters from fairytales. The Project was known as the Gingerbread House Project (GHP,) and for a time it was quite successful, convincing many children into believing they were indeed fairytale characters and, as such, were gifted with abilities related to their roles in their stories and immortality from their happily-ever-afters, so long as they continued to believe that they were the characters from the stories.
Ten years ago, however, the Project was shut down when a child died in it, and the kids were either returned to their homes or put into foster care, forced to deal with the "real world." Some forgot or were forced to forget, losing their gifts and their immortality, while others held tight to their beliefs and tried to help the others do the same. Still more seemingly disappeared off the face of the Earth, with no one knowing what had happened to them.
Erica, for her part, managed to adjust well-enough to the "real world," and was well on her way to beginning her higher education when in early August after her senior year of high school, she was involved in a serious car crash that took the lives of two of her non-GHP friends and nearly took her own. Since then, she's been struggling with PTSD, the medication for which she occasionally takes as treatment aiding her in starting to forget the Project and all things associated with it. For the most part, though, she's succeeded in remembering, although I do have a current storyline in-'verse wherein she's temporarily forgotten everything, but I can fill you in more on that if you decide to pick up one of the two characters below.
It's been two years since the accident, ten since the Project's closing, and suddenly the GHP victims are being recalled back to active duty. They don't know why or who is involved, they only know that they are being brought back together again. And when you have that many fairytale characters in close proximity, things are bound to happen that'll be tales worth telling.
So, now that we've gotten all that established, here's who I'm hoping to see...
RUMPLESTILTSKIN- Generally, the villains of the stories have all in "real life" been scientists involved in the Project who got themselves immersed in the stories one way or another. If you want to run with that idea, cool beans. If you want to work out a different pre-Project backstory for him, that's fine, too.
Anyways, I'm thinking that he's likely to have a very personal vendetta against Miller/MD after the events of the story, and that that's something that likely continued even after the Project ended. I'm thinking that when he wasn't trying to adjust to the whole real-world again, he was trying to hunt her down and have revenge for her managing to beat him at his own game. (Perhaps he even succeeded at this, and was in fact the driver of the other car in the accident?) I've got a few more ideas running around in my head about him, but I don't want to limit anyone who may want to pick him up, so I'll just stop talking for now. =P
THE KING- So in the story it seems to me that the King is really only interested in marrying the Miller's Daughter because of her ability to turn straw to gold, but there's also that year after their marriage that we don't see that may have resulted in a change in feelings on both or either of their parts. In my head, they sort of grew into loving each other, with the initial affection being borne out of their proximity after their marriage and then it snowballing into a somewhat more genuine love in spite of his rather greedy intentions at the beginning of their relationship. At least, this is true of MD, who misses her king a lot and has felt very lonely in the time since the Project's disbanding. How the player may want to play the king's own feelings is up to them. =)
Those are just some general ideas. I have a few more for each of them if you're interested but maybe don't quite have all the ideas down for each of them yet, so feel free to ask me for more information if you want it! =)
Of course, anyone from our Wanted Characters list is very welcome, but if someone picked up either of these two I'd love you for life. <3
