GLaDOS here needs her brother, Gordon Freeman. Where GLaDOS is extroverted, insane, unethical, and downright cruel, Gordon is calm, introverted, conscious of his actions, and maybe emphatic to people's plights...maybe. He doesn't talk much to people except his sister so his actions speak louder for him. Also he doesn't want to melt people's ears off if we're going by Matryoshka AU.
She both hates and loves Freeman and it shows because every time she gets close enough to kill him, she never delivers the final blow. She can be all sisterly one minute and deranged psychopath the next but her brother can usually manage around it. Usually. They are equals in power and smarts and it irks her to no end. Think of it as the Black Mesa-Aperture Science rivalry personified. If you've seen Freeman's Mind, it's a plus! To sum it up, Gordon is the only person capable and practically qualified to keep GLaDOS in line, as she keeps him on his toes. IE A typical brother-sister relationship
I'm doing this mostly as a last resort because I don't want to create a Freeman muse to antagonize my own GLaDOS...Kinda like talking to myself. And I want to avoid that. Also, to meet someone new!
