I have a basic idea for an oc -- this is his account~ -- and he was just out of high school when the villains and heroes disappeared (I'm still deciding whether or not he has powers -- if he does, it. somehow was triggered around the time when they disappeared, since HEROES WERE NEEDED OR SOMETHING. if not, then he just stepped up and became a hero because they were needed.) At this point, he's 23, and now that the disappeared heroes and villains are back, he's tryin' to help work out all the new issues. and stuff.

I totally will comment, as soon as I've got a PB :)

Nice! I was figuring I would let the players decide how they got powers if they had them. With there having been no one right after they vanished, I figure that some force would have tried to make the balance out- kinda like when one Lantern is killed the ring finds its replacement.

As for the canon heroes, I'm hoping that some might be interested enough to jump in. I may end up tossing my GL in to get things rolling.

Question! Wouldn't the mass disappearance out the superheroes (and villains)? Like, hey, Superman's suddenly gone and so is Clark Kent... just one might be able to be covered up, but it'd be a really big arrow pointed at a lot of people.

Not that that's a bad thing. Something else to deal with when they get back, I guess. Just curious about it. :)

That is a good question! Considering how this was all based on a strange DCUO inspired dream, it never got that far before I had to wake up. XD

I would almost think a few people might see a connection, but with such a vast amount of people suddenly being gone, combined with the quick rise of violence, there being two options in a way. First could be that for some reason 'normal' people were taken too which could be a cause for some of the chaos that broke out after going on. Or in a second option possibly that they were just 'lost' in the shuffle of the chaos when it broke out.

Personally I'm cool with anyone who plays a canon character to come up with what the people they know would think happened to them. Each case is different and I don't want to inhibit anyone who would be interested in doing this from coming up with something interesting for their pup to go through. :)

Cool! Just wondering. Obviously I'm interested in the idea, though I'd probably start with a non-canon hero, I think. Just for something new to do. I mean, Bart here was already outted in canon when he died, so he wouldn't worry about that anyway. But considering they had an entire miniseries about secret identities, I had to ask.

I personally like the first idea better, especially since some of the supers' alter egos are pretty high profile, but I could see it being interesting either way.

How IS DCUO? I don't have a PS3 or a computer that can run it, and it's killing me.

Would it make you feel better if I lied and said it was horrible?

I've played WoW for a couple of months and LOTRO sine it went free and... DCUO kinda hits that MMO spot for me. The controls are kinda wonky weird after playing with the other two, but it's worth it if you ever get a chance to play. Rumor is there could be a Green Lantern expansion coming out too, but I don't know how true that is.

It makes it easier to say that if the supers were suddenly gone people covering and saying normal people were gone too just for that reason. But if they aren't then, well, all the more fun trying to explain it! XD

Everything is totally open to however the player wants to come up with how it would have been handled should their canon character be questioned about where they were. It makes me curious if any canon's jump in how they would do it.

Awesome about wanting a non-canon hero! Do you have any ideas on what you'd want to do? =D
