Potholes and Painkillers

Nosespray ala Morphine and a nice hole in the grassy turf where I walk all the time to catch my bus and then stepped into which turned my ankle over and resulted in an ambulance call has completely stuffed up my plans for this week.

The morphine happened in the ambulance. Nice ambulance girl, we talked about Cats Musical that she saw last night and boyfriends...the nosespray has made my nose very itchy and I needed a LOT of it to dull the pain in the foot so excuse me while I scratch like mad.

So they thought I had snapped the Achilles tendon, but luckily because I went through ER I got all tests done in record time and it's was only a bad sprain. Still hurts like a mofo, but no operation needed. Last time I was taken to hospital like that I damaged my lower spine, nothing so serious happened anyways.

The witness who saw me fall over called them and the boyfriend (who then, on his day off, dived into the car and drove to the grassy area where we were and the other guy was still looking after me followed the ambulance all the way to Fremantle and then took me home). We got Hungry Jacks for lunch...I was SUPPOSED to be going fishing this morning but obviously plans had changed.

*sighs*

Am now on crutches again like same time last year, except for a totally different reason. And the foot hurts and I have a nifty white band round the wrist that PROVES the visit to the hospital, so am keeping it and gonna work on making the foot better.

Also lost the laces to my shoe and a sock when they had to cut both to get to the foot to assess the damage. So we have to shop for laces and sock now. Heh, morphine is freaken fun :D
