Post-Christmas ~Things~
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday! Mine was fairly hectic, to say the least. And, I ended up getting violently ill on Christmas Day, ugh. Said illness was then followed by two overnight shifts at work. Gross.
My mother got me some pretty awesome gifts this year, including one super amazing lamp. I'm not even gonna lie: it's probably the best lamp in creation. And now I have all three seasons of Castle, all the QAF novels, and the new Zelda! I got a few other odds and ends as well, but those were my "big" things that I asked for this year. Oh, and I bought a six-month paid account to livejournal, so that's exciting! It was definitely a nice little Christmas. :)
I finished quite a few of the things on my To-Do List for the holiday "break", but am still avoiding grad stuff like the plague. I've just got revisions to do on my Statement of Purpose and writing sample, but I don't have the clarity of mind to see to it until next week. I've far too much going on with work this week and am really exhausted from the holiday + long-ass-overnight-shifts. \
It's almost that time of year again for my end of the year writing summary. I'm curious to see if I've surpassed last year's wordcount. It's quite likely. I definitely shifted gears mid-year, though. QAF Fandom, you are my one true love.
So that's coming up soon! I might type up a bit about grad school applications and the nice conversation I had with one of my college profs a couple weeks back about grad school.
Jeez, I feel like this is the most random post ever. I blame the eight hours of sleep I got in the last forty-eight hours.
