The Hunger Games!
First off, Hunger Games ftw?!
I just finished the first book, which has consumed my life for the past 24 hours. So good. So amazingly good. And I already get the feeling that I've seen nothing yet. Thankfully, I purchased all three books when I did. Otherwise, I would be driving to my local bookstore stat.
What's even more incredible is that I didn't spoil myself. I have this tendency to want to know how something ends that way I can prep myself for it. And I'm going to continue to not spoil myself for the next two books.
And if anyone spoils me, you will find an angry nest of tracker jackers on your front door. Just saying.
So far, my love for Cinna knows no end! Like, legit, he's got to be my favorite character. Also, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna? Yes, please and thank you.
Haymitch is pretty bitchin' as well. I love the fact that he won by his wits alone. And while at first I thought he was a total drunkard (which, I mean, he is), you can understand why after going through the Games with Katniss. That shit has got to get to you.
Annd, because I'm a shipper no matter the fandom, I sorta love Katniss/Gale. Am I naive enough to think that's how this thing is going to end? No. My ships rarely sail, guys, so I prep myself for the let down. But let me live in my naivete while I can!!
I guess Peeta/Katniss will do in a pinch. Maybe they'll grow on me.
