On Harry Potter Movie Expectations...

Because I have the attention span of a gnat today, I thought I would do a quick post about something that has...not necessarily irked, but surprised me, I guess...about the Deathly Hallows movies. I am by no means seriously ranting; it's more of just a funny, personal observation.

On the matter of Bill Weasley

I suppose when I read Half-Blood Prince and got to this part:

"Of course I'm sure...he's a-- bit of a mess, that's all. Greyback attacked him. Madam Pomfrey says he won't -- won't look the same anymore."

and

"Harry looked over Hermione's shoulder and saw an unrecognizable face lying on Bill's pillow, so badly slashed and ripped that he looked grotesque."

I actually read it as "Bill was utterly mauled and could only be recognized by the horrifically scarred right side of his face, as the left side was missing entirely."

You can then imagine my surprise when I see this photo from Deathly Hallows:

Bill has a face! A rather fetching face to be exact. Apparently when I was reading about a horrific mauling via werewolf, the directors were reading "and in the midst of the battle, Bill and Fleur were having torrid sex, and she raked her long nails across his cheek just the way she knew he liked it."

Oh well.

So, is there anything that you, gentle readers, have discovered happening in the movies that did not mesh with what you pictured in the books? Or, anything that you enjoyed in the movies that didn't happen in the books?
