TAC update because I feel the guilts

I used to do these random update things on tumblr, but since most of my readers are on LJ, it's sort of pointless. So out of guilt because it's been over a month since I've updated, I'm essentially spamming your list with a nonsensical update that maybe you don't even care about ( Read more... )

Yup, Hillary! But don't worry about it at all. <3 There's so many people on LJ that it's hard to keep names straight. That's why I ask for an introduction if we're going to be mutual friends, lol. I need something to reference when I can't remember a name! But honestly, irl I get called Ashley a lot because of my last name, so these sorts of slip ups are no big deal. No offense taking, hon. <3

Speed of light! Wooo! Sometimes it feels like that, but other times I'm ashamed at how quickly other people get their fics out in comparison to my own. I always intend on writing a few chapters of a WIP before posting, but that never, ever happens. I don't know why I fall for that, hahaha.

I've worked quite a bit on Ch7 today. Almost 1,000 words! Hopefully I can get another 1,000 tonight. I find that the evening is the best time for me to write. I was pretty surprised that I managed what I did this afternoon. Do you find there's a better for you to write? I know you have little ones, so I imagine you sneak it in when you can get it. But still, some times are better than others for certain folks.

A thousands words a day is my goal, but lately that just hasn't been happening. In fact, today I un-wrote about 100 words before deciding to admit defeat and try a new strategy tomorrow.

I used to only be able to write at night, but lately I'm just too tired to focus so I've switched to mornings -- specifically the hours while my older daughter is in preschool and the baby is sleeping and I have a little blessed silence. I've also learned to tune out Sesame Street and write with that in the background, which let me tell you... that's a real challenge when you're working on J/B stories!

There are definitely people who gets things out very quickly but for your level/quality of writing, you zip along amazingly fast. I absolutely don't expect the best writers to post every single week. Or even every single month.
