An Auction + Some Thrifting + A Spring Walk= :-)

This morning, I got my lazy self out of bed and went to the local
auction. I was tempted by all sorts of good stuff selling for cheap.
I especially fell in Love with all of the box lots filled with amazing
fabric. (I don't even know how to sew...yet) There were about 50
boxes filled with quality fabrics, both vintage and modern. I saw
silk, satin, wool, cotton, seersucker, lace, vintage floral prints,
organza, swiss dot, gingham (etc....) in every shade of the rainbow,
selling for only $2.-$5. per box! I had to use all of my strength not
to bid on them. (I already have amassed quite a collection of
vintage fabric. I'm not allowing myself to buy any new stuff until I
learn how to use my sewing machine and start making things with it.

After the fabric was sold, I bid on vintage radio tubes (For Conner's
Robots), Antique Compacts & Jewelry (Outbid on both.) However,
I won the box I was originally there for- It had some rare Xmas
Ornaments in it. There were also plenty of old, metal "things" in the
box for Conner to add to his robot parts junk pile.(I Love Boxlots!)

After auction, I went out thrifting, bought a pretty A-line cotton skirt
w/ an oriental print. Also found an Asian blouse. (Lucky!) After that,
I came back home, picked up my camera and went out for a walk,
taking spring pics.
