I've traded in the morning coffee for Dandelion Tea infusions (brewed
overnight).It gives me hours of clear headed, happy-happy joy-joy zippity-
zappety energy-it is the ultimate "Flower Power" experience- LOVE it! ;-)
I also am enjoying the raw leaves and flowers in my salads- yum! Go out
and pick some! it's the perfect time of year for harvesting Dandelions.
They're nice and sweet during the spring. (They get bitter when they go
to seed.)
Dandelions are full of vitamins and minerals and are ranked in the top
4 green vegetables in overall nutritional value by the USDA! They are the
richest vegetable source for beta carotene and 3rd richest source of Vit A
of all foods. They're also rich in protein, Vit A, Vit D, fiber, potassium, iron,
calcium, magnesium,phosphorous, B vitamins,thiamine, riboflavin and
micronutrients and trace minerals.
Dandelions act as a general cleansing tonic, helping to flush out toxins
