Snowy Walks....Mary Jane Shoes

Last night, the snow started falling and Conner and I went for a lovely midnight walk,
mitten in mitten, across the freshly fallen blanket of snow. The world was quiet as
a mouse and everything was covered in magic fairy sparkles. We kept on admiring
how our little neighborhood had been transformed into a Winter Wonderland. It felt
really good, releasing my resistance to the winter and embracing it instead.
So, for the moment, I have made peace with winter....

I found a cute pair of Mary Jane Doc Martins at the thrift-love them! I was thinking
that it's really quite silly that the older I get, the more childish my shoe collection
becomes. ;-) I do try to wear those long, narrow toe, wobbly heel ladylike shoes
from time to time, but they torture and warp my feet...not nice! I don't know how
women put up with wearing those torture devices. When I watch a show like Sex
In The City and see Carrie Bradshaw waxing all romantic about her latest pair of
$400+ designer 4" heels, I want to pull out my hair and scream wtf!? I'm not a
great fan of pain....or of spending a mortgage sized payment on a pair of shoes...
nononononono thank you!

-Lisa.
