Feeling Fallish

The weather has turned cold and the squirrels are busy gathering fallen acorns and storing them in secret underground stashes. The skies are a bright clear blue and speckled with paper thin, fluttering specks of orange, red and yellow...all falling to the ground, creating lovely leafy piles that crunch and crackle underfoot. Ahhhh...fall... The old cravings for cold weather comfort foods have returned- a thermos filled with hot apple cider, strolling through a mossy moist forest with a caramel swirl latte warming my hands, putting on an apron and baking pumpkin muffins, slow cooking butternut squash soup in a cozy kitchen...mmmmm.
