Pedal Power
My Daddy bought me a bicycle for my b-day and it was delivered
yesterday! I absolutely LOVE it!!! When he asked me what I wanted
for my b-day, I gave him a list of a few things and a "girly vintage
style beach cruiser bicycle" was on the list. I didn't think he would
get it for me, so it was an extra nice suprise when the bike showed
up on my doorstep yesterday morning- yay! :-)
I took it on a cruise around the neighborhood yesterday afternoon,
after Conner put it together for me. (thank you Conner...I know it's
not a robot...so it must not have been much fun putting it together.
Just wanted you to know that I appreciate you putting all of those
parts and pieces together for me!)
I enjoyed my first ride on my new bicycle. I felt like a happy 8 year
old girl, while riding it- everything felt so sparkly, shiny and new.
That little girl inside of me also loves those cute little pink Hibiscus
flower stickers all over the bike...yay....stickers are cool! ;-)
Last year, my Mom and Step Dad gave me bike money and I
purchased a used mountain bike from a neighbor. I had looked
all over the place to find the retro beach cruiser of my dreams,
but couldn't find it. The mountain bike is good for hardcore
workouts, but I still wanted a comfy and cute bicycle to take out
riding just for fun...or on short errands...and now I have it!

Now, all I need is a little basket in the front, for carrying fresh
fruits and veggies home from the market...or for holding an
Etsy package or two on the way to the post office.
