Bright Eyed And Bushy Tailed

Here is a series of pics I took today when I woke up.
I call this my "Good Morning series".... I have pics of
the things I see while laying in bed, the stuff I eat in
the morning, the objects I look at while thinking about
what to do with the day etc... There are several nice
big pics behind the LJ cut.

Breakfast today was fresh watermelon pieces, organic raw goats
milk and organic raw Hawaiian Garden Of Life honey. Yum!

This is the first thing when I open my eyes in bed and look up.
It's my bamboo blinds, framed by a Sari from India.

We have cute and colorful vintage jungle sheets...they make
me laugh and remind me of Peter Max's playful art.

A graceful Oak tree that is right outside my window. I love
how the light gently filters through the green leaves in the
morning.

Piles of stuff...various textiles that inspire me, a funky vintage
radio, some antique chinese brocade boxes hiding treasures,
books that impart wisdom and guide me, a bunch of turqouise
yarn that I've been turning into crochet projects....

I've been a Book Whore lately. This is the horrible mess that is
on the side of my bed. The piles just keep getting bigger. The
hilarious thing is that I'm reading ALL of these books at the
same time...a little bit from each one...and then I move on to
the next book. I've always been like this- reading 10-30 books
at the same time!

Fresh, organic and life sustaining food. Mmmmm.....

Tea with my breakfast. Yogi Tea is really good! This is my
favorite ceramic cup. The glaze is all drippy and the cup is
organically shaped with all sorts of hills and valleys- perfect
for gripping with my hands.

My fridge...no junk except for Conner's sugar-tea from the local
dairy place down the road from us. He is addicted...I've told him
he can make it himself, but he doesn't think homemade tea is
as good. Oh well...

I have freshly brewed Hibiscus sun tea in the striped jar on the
left. If you could see the fridge door, you would see my home brewed
Kombucha tea in a vintage pyrex glass container.

Etsy stuff keeps piling up around here...I really need to get these
little guys up and in my Retrokitsch shop. All of that silverware on
the right is vintage modernist...including some nice highend
Georg Jensen pieces!

I bought a pile of aprons last week and need to take pics and get
them up in my shop. Ahhhh...I'm soooo far behind. :-(

I have some little mystery plants growing in my container on the
top right. They started popping up out of my compost heap, so
I transfered them and can't wait to see what they turn out to be!

photos, home stuff, summer, happy things
