Retro Kitsch Etsy Shop is Now Open

Aug 12, 2007 14:33

I know I haven't been around on LJ much. I've handed over the computer
to Conner who has been happily spending many hours per day writing
and getting paid to do so, over at Digitaljournal.com.

The little time I am online, I use to check in with my favorite LJ blogs,
answer e-mails & update my Etsy shops. My recent pet project has
been opening up my new Etsy shop: "Retrokitsch". It's like a fancy-
vintage-thrift-boutique. I put only the best of the best vintage kitschy
finds up for sale in that shop...some of the pieces even come from
my own collection of good vintage stuff! :-) My eye is geared towards
colorful vintage items that are handcrafted, have fine workmanship
or extreme retro kitsch value. I've been happy to see that the stuff
is starting to fly off the shelves...which fuels and funds my lifelong
habit of hunting for more fabulous 2nd hand treasures.

Other than that, I've been spending a lot of time out in nature. I've
been busy identifying the local edible and medicinal plants. Malachi
and I go on walks every day, identifying plants and harvesting
something fresh and wild to eat or make into tea. This has been
an incredibly healing and nurturing thing for me. My body has
been responding very positively to all of the wild foods and I have
more energy and my overall health has improved...yay for being a
"wild child!"

I hope you all are enjoying the summer and wish you the best!

-Lisa.
