A Sci-Fi Show Worthy of Comment

So I finally got around to seeing Firefly. How the hell did I miss this gem of a show? Great  writing and characters. Funny. I was impressed and blown away by the beautiful subtlety of the whole season. Now I have to check out the movie. And Serenity is one hell of a beautiful ship. So nice to see a SIMPLE and elegant ship. Love the whole Chinese-

OMG!!! How did you ever manage to to miss it?? And even more importantly, how did you survive without ever watching it?? Firefly and Serenity are staple television consumption in my house....

It is excellent. Refreshing to know that somebody is still making good sci-fi.

i have yet to see the tv show...maybe i'll rent it when we get abck to Miami, cuz i definitely loved the movie!

You would love it. I am very critcal of sci-fi. I hate stupidity, plot holes etc. So if I am praising it you know it's good. :)

Oh that is funny, my man and I have been watching it all week since I have heard so many people recommend it on LJ...we just saw the eighth (?) episode where the captain's ex wife shows up and laughed sooo much....

That is funny. Before I watched it I expected a so-so show, but I was very impressed. Great characters. After watching the dvd set, I just wanted MORE!

I know. Not EVEN a full season! But we have how many years worth of crap like "Friends"? Yeah, this show was quality. :)
