I switched to Green Tea recently because I gave up coffee for Lent. I'm enjoying the green tea but, I have to admit...I miss my coffee. I'm going to really try and cut down on coffee and stick with the tea after lent. Hopefully, eventually I won't even *like* coffee! I should try some different types of green tea...got any favs???
Have a pretty Sunday!

I really LOVE Green Sencha Tea when it's mixed with Jasmine or Rosebuds! :-) The Matcha Green Tea mixed w/ puffed brown rice is begining to "grow on me" too.

I'm going to be brave and try the powdered Matcha. I've heard it's INTENSE and tastes "grassy"...I mostly want to start drinking a few cups of that, for the health benefits.

Have you ever made a "Green Tea Latte"? Just mix some hot green tea w/ some Vanilla Soymilk...really good! :-)

I hear you, on the coffee thing! That's a hard habit to break... I even snuck a cup of coffee in yesterday. ;-)

I find that drinking black tea gives me enough of a "caffeine kick" to get going...I drink "Jasmine Black Tea" when I'm not drinking coffee or green tea.

I'll have to give them a try! You're right...if I have black tea in the morning, I don't miss the coffee too much. Then I'll have green tea during the day.

Green tea has incredible health benefits. I read "The Green Tea Book" a few years ago and was stunned by the mass of information. Of course, green tea led me to sake...

I saw "The Green Tea Book" last night, while looking for books to order from my local library...am looking forward to reading it! :-)

Not to quote my own song (Mr. Musk Ox), but hikari sencha, unsweetened of course, is my first choice. I really like green tea (and white tea, for that matter), so nearly anything - as long is it isn't artificially flavored (ick) - suits me fine.

Sencha Tea is one of my favorites too! :-)

I agree with you- about not sweetening or having artificial junk in it! I don't know how people can stand drinking those "Green Tea" bottled drinks...too much sugar & chemicals-Blech!

I haven't tried White Tea...it's definately on my "things to do" list! ;-)

We both had a cup of Jasmine green Tea this morning and it made us feel much better! I am very sensitive to caffeine, and I like this because it makes me more alert without making me jittery! We are going to drink it every morning!

Yay! :-) Green Tea is Awesome! I drink it throughout the day...keeps me mentally alert and feeling Zen.

I was reading up on Green Tea on the web and found that "Matcha" Green Tea has the most health benefits. It's a powdered version of it. I've heard it tastes intense & grassy. I thought I had bought some last week, but just figured out it was something else! LOL... So many teas...such little time! ;-)
