RYTHMIC BREATHING

Dec 24, 2005 08:44

Last night, I was feeling stressed out, so I picked up one of my old books- Tuning Into Higher Frequencies. I randomly turned to a page and read about the importance of deep, rythmic breathing- how there is "prana" (life force) in the air that surrounds us and with every breath we take, we are being given the chance to allow more (or less) of it in. (When I am most stressed out, I am a shallow breather and have even gone into asthma attacks! This info made me sit up and pay attention!) Prana  is full of life affirming and healing energy. It fills the body with light and a higher vibration that is resistant to negative emotions & disease. I came across a breathing excercise and it really works! Here it is- Breathe in and silently count 1.2.3.4.5.6. Hold it for 1.2.3. Breathe out 1.2.3.4.5.6. Hold it for 1.2.3. then repeat over and over again. I fell asleep while doing the excercise and had peaceful dreams. I feel energized and positive this morning- which is amazing, considering all of the craziness of the last few days! ;-)

On the schedule for today- try my best to get into The Christmas Spirit. Do another load of shipping. Shop for some yummy food. Paint & Breathe Deep! Take care and I hope you all are enjoying your Holidays!
