You did a nice job with the "horcrux cliché." Its not so much that you do it, but how you do it.
Thanks! I pondered with other ways to do this simply because I wanted to avoid the cliche but I finally just sucked it up and went for it. Glad to hear it's working. I'm also glad to hear the slow evolution of the pairing is working. I really wanted to avoid the sudden "OMG I LOVE YOU" kind of thing. lol
How does the prompt table work? You're going to write a chapter for each prompt or just a certain number of them? The original idea was to take the 100 prompts from the table and make an epic multi-parter, using each prompt in numerical order as chapters. But then I realized I was insane for even wanting to write a 100 part fic, and then when writing this chapter, I realized it was harder to stick with the prompt themes as they were numbered. So now I'm just taking random prompts from the table for each chapter. As for the number of prompts, if I was a betting woman, I would say this chapter marks the halfway mark of completion.
