you and I must fight to survive

Bane of existence = LJ entries

Steve's visit was nice. It was amazing how little we talked about his trip, and that we really didn't have too much to say. He showed up, immediately used the lavatory, and we sat around all night. Cabin pizza was nice, LC was there and she gave us a HUGE hug. ... And we just jammed and played video games on my computer. Good to know some things don't change over time.

I finished DOOM in six days, and I just started Harry Potter book one yesterday, and am already on chapter nine. I sure get a lot of time to read during the job, when I'm doing almost NOTHING... which is PERFECT. For instance, today we had absolutely nothing for the afternoon, so a group of us played volleyball outside of Campbell -- glorious. And yes... the shirt did end up coming off.

To spare you all a lame intro-story... I went to the Wayside last Thursday night with some crew. The place really isn't that pleasing to the eye, but the experience wasn't as bad as I could imagine. There was some pre-drinking, a little dancing -- I managed to do about 7 seconds of pole dancing. Afterwards I smelled rotten of smoke and doucheyness, but I survived. I lost my Wayside virginity.

Went to Keely's cottage with Leann and Lockness. Also in attendance was some of Keely's friends and Darren. I had to get onto the cottage roof to retrieve my frisbee -- that was fun. We also played card games and went kayacking (?), so it was a good weekend.

Finally, the best part:

MUSE once again tantalizes my ears with their new album, Black Holes and Revelations. I managed to obtain it just today, and though it's not as good as Absolution in my opinion, some of the songs really shake the ol' soul. I'm sure with repeated listening, this will definitely be another Muse triumph. I recognized two of the songs (Exo-Politics and Assassins) from when I heard them played live at MSU. Also, the boys will be playing at the State Theatre on Friday, July 28. Anyone interested?

Tomorrow I will be visiting the apartment with my mother, who will be in Mt. P for a seminar. We're also going to the Cabin. Like Depeche Mode says, 'I just can't get enough'

PS - Does anybody happen to like/watch the USA show The 4400?
