'white Christmas'???

Yeah, not really. I don't know about you, but Christmas in Owosso consisted of rain rain rain.

Shopping for people is tough business, and I suck at it -- bigtime. But I managed to get the family members good gifts. My mom loves her U.S. atlas, and dad has been rocking out to his Stevie Ray Vaughn DVD. But first, on Wed. afternoon, the Bublitz brothers cajoled me into going with them to Elderlys Music in Lansing. So we hung out there for a bit, then Target and a book shop, then we made it back home to watch Chronicles of Narnia, as promised to Steve.

On Thursday, I drove Steve and I to famous Whitehall to visit with Carrie, who has pledged her soul to Singapore next semester. The drive was long, but we got to Pizza Hut for some general hanging-outs, then off to her house. Basically, everyone talked and chilled for quite awhile. When the majority of the people left, though, that's when the real fun started -- Scrabble. Yeah, you heard me. And me and Carrie's friend Beth won. We all went to sleep in her basement, but really just talked and laughed for a few more hours. Oh, and Steve farted on me. So... I'm glad he's back. Next day we woke up late, went to Brooklyn Bagel, Steve and I said our goodbyes, visited Naomi for a bit, and hit the dusty trail for home.

Christmas Eve was dull -- I wrapped gifts and did nothing all day. The Bostwicks came over for a bit at night, then the Lahmanns went to the candlelight service.

I awoke Christmas day extremely tired and ornary due to lack of sleep and most horrible dreams. Some hot chocolate and presents cleared that up! Major gifts included a 20 gig Creative Zen Touch mp3 player, Kill Bill 1+2 dvds, the Mike Wallace book!, a huge CD case, and other things. Then we all went to church, I played trumpet. It's always nice to use that thing once a year to play in the Christmas service. Back at home we dilly-dallied until leaving for Aunt Cindy's place. Awesome food + awesome house and furniture = napping. We also played Scene It. The game is quite enjoyable. Then we got home later.

*grades* = worst so far in college. Still, that means a 3.54 for the semester. BCA 223 killed me with a B, but I managed an A in BCA 311 and a frickin A- in PSC 105H! Ed Clayton has a beating heart in that liberal machine he might call a body. Next semester, if I ever figure it out, needs to be less heinous for shizzle. Nizzle.

Today I funked with my mp3 player until leaving for Uncle Dick's for the annual Lahmann get-together. It's always the same -- show up and say hi to everyone, chill, eat a little bit, then finally get around to playing music. My SWEET cousin John taught me how to play the theme to Ghost n Goblins. HELL YEAH! Also, cousin Debby got a new Golden Retriever puppy. That thing... yeah, it's cute. Like a little bear cub. Sue me.

Tomorrow I look forward to getting a new driver's license photo! YES, no more short hair and glasses! Also, a bit more necessary shopping for this girl I know named Leann, and hopefully getting my schedule... ah, fuck it, who knows. But soon I will be visiting the Grogg in GR, which will be very fun. Just call me Sappy McSapperson.

New Years Eve... what's going on with you guys?
What was your best gift for Christmas?
