Well, Rudyyyyyyyyyyy, I'm in a fairly good mood, ya see.
Willy Anderson once again has jury duty. This equates to another cancelled class. This means only one BCA 311 for this week. Hamazing. Jawesome.
I stopped by Becki's after visiting Leann tonight. I showed her House of Cosbys. I'm certain she loves me even more for it.
The storm is bad tonight, so how could I, awake without you here... -- Love Finch
Did I mention I also love Death Cab for Cutie? For those of you going to the concert (Miss Clunk), I have a message: you suck
Thursday was good in so many ways. The most prominant being that I actually matched wits with ol' Eddie Clayton, PSC 105H professor extraordinaire. The class discussion was about mandatory voting. Australia has it -- government makes people vote. I began a nice little debate opposing it for America. To make this short, I said something about how it wouldn't work here because people just wouldn't like it. Clayton liberally responds that if it works in Australia and people like it there, what's to say it can't work here. I triumphantly remind him of how we Americans are too individualistic to ever allow the government to 'force' us all to vote, being that it's our right and not our obligation. He smiled, and that was the game. Chalk one up for Jacob and his realistic ways.
Friday went well, also. The Hutch let us out of JRN early, so I went to library and sent one Steve Bublitz a rather long email of greetings and news. Then I wrote an amazing ad in BCA 311 for our in-class writing assignment. It involved Mr. T selling Comet Bathroom Cleaner to an unworthy man. Talk about creativity. Even if Willy hates it, it's golden in my book. Plus, Willy was mondo pissed at me for taking so long finishing it out. I'm sure he almost 'yelled' at me. Yikes.
Everybody, here's YOUR assignment: look at www.channel101.com, look for House of Cosbys, and watch episode 1. It'll make your year.
And here we are to sing you a song... and there you are asleep again *rock out hard*
I'm pretty sure my Honors kids love me. Why? Because I'm a terrible influence and don't expand their minds. Ah well, that's Jim and Judy's job.
My weekend at home went just fine. Friday night I indulged in vanilla ice cream, customized with smashed pieces of mint Oreo's. Ohhhhhhh, they are the key to my heart of hearts. I watched Criminal Minds and Without a Trace with the parents. It was excellent. I love CBS shows. Saturday I *gasp* got a haircut. Both Scott and I. And actually, it doesn't really look that bad to me. Now I just need to get rid of this facial hair, because everyone hates it. Nobody likes it.
Dad got Mancino's grinders for us for lunch. Like I've said before, there's nothing quite like a full-size pizza grinder and garlic cheesesticks for my hungry pit of a stomach. Then Michigan lost. Stupid bastards, oh well. I went to Lansing with Darren and Carl to see A History of Violence. I liked it alot. It appealed to men's need-for-badassness in films. And OH, the glorious deaths Viggo Mortensen dealt upon his enemies. Yeah, we all liked it. Went back to Darren's house, Carl left, but I watched Monster-in-Law (yeah.... gooooood) and White Noise with his family. White Noise was pretty disappointing. Lots of ambiguity, not enough closure on the plot. But, there were some freaky parts.
Momma made spaghetti for lunch after church. Dad got this TV plug-in game thing that has 128 games in 1. He got it at a garage sale. He was excited to show Scott and I his treasure. He's such a kid. I finished Prince Caspian. Onto Voyage of the Dawn Treader!
I got gas for $2.72. Not..... good at all, but in these times, decent.
Oh, it'll be another busy week, me thinks.
