A big thank you for Jennifer for her help :3 and for Jenna for the title :)

When you are a resident, you’re expected to be available anytime, anywhere and when you are on the field -at the hospital-, you have to be aware of your surroundings. To sum it all up: no social life. Of course Yunho knew what he got himself into, he loved his job, though sometimes he needed a little break. He was about to sit on a chair in the hallway when a siren could be heard. The man didn’t even have time to breathe before he was) running towards the vehicle with his colleagues. The ambulance crew brought in a stretcher with young man, with an oxygen mask and bruises on his face. His case seemed pretty serious.

“What happened?” Dr. Choi asked as usual, as if he didn’t feel pity seeing the injured boy.

“Car crash; the vehicle fell in a ravine. The three other passengers are dead,” a woman spoke as they walked in the building. “We may think they’re his relatives. We already CPR-ed him, his heartbeat is really slow though.”

“Leave us the rest, we’ll take care of it,” the doctor replied as they brought the stretcher into the room.

The ambulance people left right away as they were preparing all the equipment they needed such as electrodes and other medical tools. Yunho was given the young man’s personal effects and joined Dr. Choi in the surgical unit. If the boy had a low heartbeat, it could be) because a branch had stabbed him in the rib cage area. And they clearly weren’t expecting to see a piece of wood sticking out of the man’s torso.

About an hour later, the patient’s state was finally stable so they brought him into a room; he was still under painkiller. Two residents -including Yunho- walked in and he put a little bag on the bedside table.

“Poor guy, he lost his entire family,” his friend named Changmin sighed. “Don’t know how to break the news to him when he wakes up. Well, that is, if he wakes up.”

“Of course he’ll be awake,” Yunho replied, interrupting his colleague. “It’s not as if he was under artificial coma.”

“What’s in the bag?”

“His stuff. Hey! Don’t!” Yunho exclaimed suddenly when Changmin took the plastic bag. “Come on, put that down, you wouldn’t want someone to go through your stuff now would you?.”

“It’s not going through, it’s discovering,” the other young man smiled.

“Still you-”

“Name: Kim Jaejoong, birth: 26th of January, Blah blah blah. There’s a broken camera; maybe he went to visit since he lives far away. Hmm… There’s a cookie box, which is for me…”

“Hey!”

“His wallet is safe and his sunglasses a bit broken. Err, there’s a pretty necklace too with a cross on it and that’s it,” Changmin announced finally.

“Come on, let’s go. Dr. will scold us if he would find us chatting again,” his friend said while taking his arm and dragged him out of the room.

Jaejoong tried to open his eyelids but the room was so bright that it was torture to him. Once he finally succeeded in keeping his eyes open, he inspected the place. Where was he? He couldn’t move his head too much since he has a a neck brace on. ‘What the fuck happened?’ he thought. He remembered being on a trip with his parents and his sister- Where were they? How come they weren’t with him? He had so many questions that he got a headache. He couldn’t even utter a word; his throat didn’t allow him to. He sighed, he couldn’t move properly; it was like his body was asleep. The young man heard someone entering in the room -a woman.

“Dr. Choi! He’s awake!” she yelled.

‘What a bitch,’ he thought. ‘She could have said it calmly.’ A few minutes later, two men joined the woman and walked towards the bed. The nurse removed his pillow, that way he could sit and confront the three people in front of him.

“Hi, I’m Dr. Choi. You’re in a hospital, we took care of you since you were victim of a car accident, Mr. Kim,” the said doctor. “Your torso was stabbed by a branch so we had to operate you. It’s safe for you to keep your collar and if you were wondering, you slept for nearly two days. Do you have any questions?”

Of course Jaejoong wanted to ask him many questions. How was his family and etc, but it was impossible. He moved with much difficulty with his arm to his mouth.

“I see. Well, it’s very common, you don’t have to worry, you’ll get your voice soon. I’ll be back,” the man said before bowing and the leaving the room.

“Hi, my name is Yunho, nice to meet you,” Yunho greeted him while bowing. “I’m a resident and I’ll be in charge of you. If you have anything, just push the button. It will ring me and I’ll come to you right away, alright?” he added with a smile.

He took Jaejoong’s arm but the latter struggled until Yunho let out a sigh and spoke again.

“I am not going to hurt you. I have to do a blood test. Then I’ll check your heartbeat and lastly I will inspect your eyes and throat. Is that okay?”

The patient finally gave in and the resident started his work). When he was done  he held the plastic bag up to the injured man and said:

“Here’s your stuff that the ambulance crew picked up. If you have any question, feel free to ask. Oh- Wait, you can’t talk,” Yunho smiled while scratching his head. “There, a note pad.”

Jaejoong took it and wrote the question he had been longing to have an answer to. He showed it to the resident, who was immediately startled; though he should have expected it.

“Where is my family?” he read. “Well, you know… You guys were victims of a car crash and… well, it’s really rare to rescue people… You’re kind of lucky… I guess.”

The other man frowned, clearly not satisfied with the answer and insisted in order to know. He had to know.

“Stop beating around the bush, please.” Yunho read out loud again. “Well, I guess I owe you that… Your family was found in the river, they were all unconscious … I’m sorry.”

The injured man widened his eyes a little before putting the bag on the floor and wrote another note for Yunho.

“‘Will you please leave?’ Jaejoong-ssi, I don’t-” the resident spoke again before being interrupting by his interlocutor’s actions who was pointing his pen to the ‘please’ word.

He let out a sigh, picked up his tray with medical tools before making his way to the door. He knew he had to leave him, it was going to be a pretty tough time now that he found out about the news. Feeling guilty, he walked towards the resident room and sat on a chair. His friend Changmin joined him during his break and Yunho told him everything. The other man tried to comfort him, although it was quite useless since the guilt was pretty hard to bear.

In the other room was lying an injured man whose life had just crumbled away. He didn’t move since the resident left him; he didn’t know how to react. He let his head fall on the pillow and burst into tears. Why was this happening to him? Why hadn’t he died with his family? If he could switch his place, he’d have done it. Unfortunately, he was here, lying on a hospital bed, all alone. He sobbed for a few minutes, discovering that he could murmur a few things; maybe he’d be able to talk soon. However, all of this didn’t matter now. Jaejoong was broken; he didn’t want to live anymore.

The young man felt so empty he really didn’t want to exist anymore; he didn’t want to move -except to go to the bathroom-, didn’t want to eat, and didn’t bother to listen to the doctors. He was fed up, he didn’t want a life like this; he just wanted to be left alone. Sometimes, Jaejoong missed his family so much that he even thought of suicide. He lost both faith and hope.

Yunho noticed the radical change of behaviour the day after he had told him about his relatives. During the entire week, his patient stayed in bed, day and night. Doctors opted for a drip feed since he didn’t want to eat anything. Dr. Choi continued to visit him, although it was Yunho who mostly took care of Jaejoong. He would see him at least thrice a day, maybe Jaejoong will get used to his presence.

“Hi Jaejoong-ssi,” Yunho greeted him with another smile. “Apparently, today, the weather forecast said that it will be sunny today. But it started to rain this morning though,” he added while moving the curtain slowly.

The resident stopped his little monologue, let out a sigh before taking his stethoscope. No surprises, Jaejoong let him do.

“Ah! I guess you must be happy now that your neck is finally free, right? By the way, as competent as Dr. Choi is, I don’t understand why he didn’t see that you’re finally able to speak,” he laughed a bit and his patient turned his head towards him. “Oh come on, I’m not that dumb, Jaejoong-ah.”

The latter was taken aback, he didn’t expect Yunho to discover his little secret. Even the other doctor didn’t notice it, how come this guy could have found out? He let out a sigh when Yunho spoke again.

“Listen Jaejoong-ah, you can trust me, I won’t hurt you,” he smiled. “So please, talk to me…”

Jaejoong sighed once again before saying: ‘Who give you the right to call me ‘Jaejoong-ah’, huh?’ which made the other man laugh out loud.

“Can I?”

“I don’t really care,” the patient replied as he looked away.

“Then, Jaejoong-ah it is!” the resident couldn’t help smiling.

Yunho was so happy now that the other man was talking to him. He hoped it was not just for that day. Anyway, now that his patient agreed to exchange words already, Yunho took the opportunity to never leave the other man alone for too long. He wanted to be there for him as long as he could. And it seemed his actions were being appreciated; indeed, Jaejoong was opening to the resident little by little. Even if he was a bit reluctant at the beginning, Jaejoong couldn’t help himself trusting this guy who gave him so much hope.

“Jaejoong-ah?” Yunho asked as he sat on the chair besides the bed.

“Hm? What is it?”

“It’s not as if I was curious but… I wanted to know…”

“Spill it Yunho-ah,” Jaejoong chuckled a bit seeing him embarrassed.

“Right. Can… Can you tell me why those objects were with you during…” he stopped his sentence when he held the plastic bag to the other man.

“Oh. Well… My wallet seems to be fine,” Jaejoong said as he got each object out of the bag. “Broken camera and- Oh no! My three hundred-dollar sunglasses are dead…” the young man whined while hugging his glasses with a pout. “Life is so unfair…”

“Haha, poor you. Oh right, before I forget! My friend Changmin couldn’t help stealing your cookies, I’m sorry,” Yunho apologized, a bit nervous.

“Oh it’s okay, I wasn’t that hungry anyway. Now that I think of it, the food here is not so good… Sorry but that’s the truth, you obviously don’t have any taste, man,” the patient sighed as he shook his head.

“By the way, what’s the necklace with the cross?”

“It was supposed to be a lucky charm. I guess it didn’t work haha,” Jaejoong smiled bitterly.

Seeing the other smiling at him, Yunho noticed his eyes weren’t smiling, they were sad. He was feeling guilty; it has been the second time he made the young man sad.

“Don’t blame yourself,” the latter declared as if he was reading his mind. “You were just curious, there’s nothing wrong with that.”

“Still.”

“Come here,” Jaejoong said after hearing Yunho’s murmur.

The other man kneeled near the bed and felt a hand on his shoulder. ‘I’m not mad at you, okay? Now get up, I’m not used to getting all emotional,’ the injured man added awkwardly with a little smile while scratching his head.

The two men became closer as time goes by. It had been a month since Jaejoong came to the hospital, yet it seemed as if he had known Yunho for a long time. Their friendship became so strong that he considered Yunho more than a friend. In fact, he was the only person he cared about. Because of him, he learned how to smile again; and most importantly he learned how to live again.

Jaejoong was waiting for Yunho to come, today was an important day: he is having his first session of rehabilitation. Looking through the window, he heard the door open and turned his head immediately to see his friend. The latter brought a wheelchair and set it next to the bed.

“Jaejoong-ah! How are you today?”

“Excited yet scared,” Jaejoong confessed shyly.

“Come on, hop on, I’ll give you a ride to the rehabilitation room. Do you think you’re ready?” the resident asked again to be sure.

“I am.”

“Then, let’s go!” Yunho smiled before carrying Jaejoong onto the wheelchair.

A few moments later, Yunho placed the young man between two beams and the latter clung on them as he tried to keep his balance. However, he was scared. Scared that he would fall, even if Yunho was standing next to him. He didn’t want to move his legs; he was fine like this.

“Jaejoong-ah, what’s the matter?” Yunho asked, concerned about his friend.

“I… can’t do this.”

“Are you scared?” he said as he put his hand on Jaejoong’s shoulder.

“…Yes,” the latter whispered, ashamed of himself.

“You can do it Jaejoong. Here,” Yunho told him while holding his hand. “Hold my hand, it’s yours.”

“You won’t let go of me right?” Jaejoong replied with a little voice.

“I won’t, Jae-ah,” the taller man assured him, still smiling. “Come on.”

Jaejoong lifted his head and met his gaze and nodded. He trusted him too much to turn him down and he didn’t want to disappoint him. The young man gathered his thoughts and tried to move his feet, but it was useless. Hearing his friend’s encouragement, he didn’t want to give up yet. He tried, and tried, and tried. Unfortunately, he was unable to make the smallest move; he hated himself for that. Yunho, seeing Jaejoong’s face when he carried him on the chair, spoke before pushing the wheelchair.

“I’m proud of you Jae-ah!” he said cheerfully.

‘What?’ the patient thought. Why was he saying this all of a sudden? Why wasn’t he scolding him instead of congratulating him? Something wasn’t right. He must have misheard.

“I’m not taking back what I’ve said Jae-ah, I mean it.”

“But… Why are you all happy? There’s nothing to be satisfied about,” Jaejoong protested with a pout.

“Haha! I’m content because you didn’t give up. From what I remember, a month ago, you didn’t even want to eat. Now, you’re willing to walk again, isn’t it great?”

“I… I guess.”

“Oh my, you’re really cute with that pout!” Yunho laughed while ruffling his hair.

The other man couldn’t help blushing, his heart was beating like crazy. Since that day, he redoubled his efforts until he was exhausted. He was doing all of this because of Yunho. For Yunho. It was the first time that someone -except a member of his family- believed in him; it felt great. He felt loved. Besides, he noticed that Yunho seemed to be more close to him; he would stroke his hand to encourage him, smile at him, and caress his hair when he felt sad. He didn’t know what to think of it. Did Yunho felt the same way towards him? Or was he being just a good friend? He was very confused.

About two weeks later, Jaejoong succeeded in making his first steps. ‘Oh my God, it’s like teaching Bambi how to walk!’ Yunho teased him when he was helping the young man. ‘Do you know what Bambi is thinking about now?’ Jaejoong replied, showing his death glare. The other just pouted; a sight that the patient knew he won’t be able to do without it. ‘I guess I’m head over heels for him.’

“There. Come on Bambi-ah, you can do it… Little by little… Step after step.”

“Yah! I think the surname is inappropriate in my current situation,” Jaejoong declared pompously. “Those who make fun of someone’s handicap aren’t just mature, Yunho-ssi.”

“Hey, I was just teasing you again, no need to be formal,” the said Yunho-ssi murmured, feeling quite nervous since the other was being so serious all of a sudden.

“Gotcha!” the other man winked at him before clinging onto his arm and pinching his cheek. “If I’m Bambi, then you’re just a hamster…”

“Oh I like it. Hamsters are cute.”

“… With a tiny face,” Jaejoong finished his sentence.

After bickering for a few minutes, the resident brought his patient to his room then carried him onto his bed. Dr. Choi joined them and told them Jaejoong could leave after his rehabilitation sessions, once he would be able to walk again. Yunho was really happy, Jaejoong’s efforts were worth it; the latter on the other side didn’t want to leave him. As strange as it seemed, he did not want to leave the hospital. A fake smile appeared on his face but he managed to make it believable.

As days went by, he was finally able to get up in order to sit on the wheelchair near the bed; he was used to this. Leaving his room, he made his way through the hallways, meeting other patients and greeted each other. A friendly atmosphere, everything was fine until he saw Yunho helping another patient. The blonde woman grabbed the resident’s arm and tried to walk slowly, just how they used to.

“That’s it, little by little… You can do it Jessica,” the man said softly while smiling at her.

«“Listen Jaejoong-ah, you can trust me, I won’t hurt you,” he smiled. “So please, talk to me…”»

«‘Oh my God, it’s like teaching Bambi how to walk!’»

«“There. Come on Bambi-ah, you can do it… Little by little… Step after step.”»

“I’m going to fall, I-I can’t Yunho-ah,” Jessica whispered, the fear could be heard in her voice.

“Hold my hand, I won’t let you fall, okay?”

«“You can do it Jaejoong. There,” Yunho told him while holding his hand. “Hold my hand, it’s yours.”

“You won’t let go of me right?” Jaejoong replied with a little voice.

“I won’t, Jae-ah,” the taller man assured him, still smiling. “Come on.”»

Widened eyes, a tear running on his cheek, his heart beating like crazy, Jaejoong moved back slowly. He came back to his room, and placed himself near the window. Why did Yunho use the same words he said to me to that blonde woman? Why was he smiling to her like he did to him? Why isn’t he with him right now? He thought hard, trying to answer his own questions. Then, the truth struck him. Why hadn’t he thought of this before? Of course Yunho didn’t like him the same way he did. Besides, Jaejoong was leaving soon, so it was normal for the resident to start looking for someone else to take care of. Still, thinking about it hurt him. He wiped his cheek, rode towards the bedside table, took his note pad and tried to focus on the landscape outside.

“Hey Jae-ah, how are you today? Do you want to take a walk?” Yunho asked with his infamous smile. “Jae? What’s the matter?”

His smile disappeared when his friend wasn’t talking to him. He asked his question again but the other didn’t even bother to turn his head or reply to him. ‘Jae-ah, what’s wrong?’ he asked worried to see him emotionless. Jaejoong wrote something on his note pad and showed it to him.

“’Your hand was supposed to be mine, did her hand fit better?’” Yunho read out loud before reacting right away. “What do you mean, Jaejoong? I don’t understand.”

‘Sure you do. Now, I’d like your friend to take care of me until I leave the hospital.’

“I… Why do you need Changmin? Why aren’t you talking to me?” the taller man replied, worried as he knelt in front of his patient. “Jaejoong!”

He noticed the other didn’t pay attention to him, that he was still staring at the window. Why the young man was acting like this to him? What did he do? He asked him but Jaejoong just ignored him. Yunho felt his heart aching, he thought he didn’t deserve this indifference. He stood up and left the room, silently. He ran towards the toilet and locked himself up. The resident closed his eyes in order to prevent himself from crying. Why would he cry anyway? Few minutes later, he met Changmin in the hallway.

“Whoa man! What happened? Did you see a phantom?” the latter exclaimed suddenly when he saw his friend’s face.

“Nothing, I’m just tired.”

“You’re so bad at lying, it kills me,” Changmin laughed while putting his hand on the other man’s shoulder.

“Do you think you can take care of Jaejoong from now on?” Yunho murmured while staring at his feet.

“Jaejoong? Oh! The cookie guy!” Changmin immediately remembered. “Sure?”

He was about to ask why since his friend liked to look after the cookie guy when Yunho left suddenly. Odd. Besides, he noticed that Yunho became silent all-day and even the day after. Now it was getting strange. He shrugged as he walked towards his new patient’s room.

“Hello! My name is Changmin, nice to meet you,” he introduced himself while bowing. “Oh right! I should apologise for the cookie theft…”

“It’s okay,” Jaejoong smiled.

“I have a question, maybe you could answer me,” the taller man said as he scratched his head. “Why am I taking care of you all of a sudden? It’s not that I don’t like you! No! It’s just that… it’s weird.”

“I wanted to change, that’s all.”

“Does this have something to do with Yunho?” Changmin asked, even thought he already knew the answer.

“I just wanted to change, Changmin-ssi.”

‘Bingo!’ he thought. It was so obvious anyway. When he came back to his ‘office’, he happened to see Yunho wandering in the hallway. Curious, he decided to follow him and saw his friend standing in front of Jaejoong’s room. When he entered the room, Changmin ran towards the door and tried to listen.

“What are you doing here, Yunho-ssi?” Jaejoong asked coldly while staring at him.

“You’re talking to me, that’s new. And you’re being formal.” the resident murmured, smiling sadly. “Jaejoong I… I don’t know what to think…”

“Just answer me, Jung.”

“I’m here because your indifference towards me is killing me! What happened? What did I do? Just tell me, please…” Yunho begged him.

“I thought I was special to you. I guess I was wrong. We are nothing more than a resident and a patient, right? Right,” Jaejoong murmured, avoiding his gaze. “But now it doesn’t matter. You were about to leave me anyway.”

“J-Jaejoong…” the other man whispered, widened eyes, too shocked to say something else.

“I would like you to not visit me from now on. I don’t want to see you anymore.”

“Jae, you can’t-”

“Please,” Yunho heard his ex-patient speaking to him.

The latter felt a tear running on his cheek he wanted to say something else but he feared the other would tell him off again. When he left the room, he met Changmin. ‘What happened?’ his friend asked him. ‘You’re bad at lying too, you already know Min-ah,’ Yunho replied with a sad smile. When he came back to the resident room, he sat on a chair before letting his head fall on the table. Jaejoong’s words and behaviour were driving him crazy. Why was he thinking this? Why was he thinking it was an unrequited love? He wanted to prove Jaejoong he was wrong but he didn’t have the chance to. Besides, it was already late.

‘What the fuck?’ Jaejoong told to himself. Why couldn’t Yunho leave him and run to that blonde girl? He couldn’t help himself hating the guy. He, who had lost everyone, was being abandoned again. He hasn’t felt this empty since he learned about his relatives’ death. Moreover, he didn’t like Yunho pretending to care about him. All of this affection and friendship were just fake; he realized it now. ‘I was so blind to notice it, I’m such a fool.’

Changmin was getting worried: It’s been three days since he was in charge of Jaejoong and Yunho wasn’t acting like usual. He seemed exhausted as if he hasn’t slept for the past days. The latter looked as if he was locked in a garage. He didn’t even shave! His patient wasn’t better: Changmin knew something was wrong, Jaejoong always smiled when he was around but as soon as he was alone, his smile disappeared. If he weren’t observant, the resident wouldn’t think the two men’s behaviours were linked. Fortunately Changmin wanted to put an end to this situation. He had to.

“Hello Jaejoong-ssi!” Changmin said cheerfully while bringing the breakfast. “How are you today?”

“Hi. I’m fine and you?” Jaejoong replied smiling. “Oh no, I’m not that hungry you know?” he added once he saw the food tray.

“Well, I brought this,” the resident whispered as he showed him a box of cookies. “You better not tell you got them from me, okay?”

“Waaa! thank you so much Changmin! I’m so glad, ‘cause you know, the food here is really bad. That’s what I told Yu- That’s what I often say,” the young man corrected himself.

“Speaking of Yunho, he looks like shit. I swear I have never seen him like this,” Changmin confessed, worried about his friend.

“I-I guess he must be sick…”

“You obviously didn’t see him. He’s like tiredness itself. Even when he lacks sleep, he looks better than now! I tell you, I won’t be surprised to see him passed out soon, as mean as it sounds.”

When Jaejoong widened his eyes a bit, the other young man didn’t miss it. It was even more obvious that his patient cared about his friend. He just needed to think of a plan. And then an idea stroked his mind.

“I heard Dr. Choi saying he’ll fire Yunho soon since he’s being quite incompetent these days. And this is a secret too. You didn’t hear anything, I didn’t say anything, okay? This is a serious matter,” lied Changmin. “Yunho told me he was thinking about leaving anyway… Now, I’ve got to go. I’ll see you later.”

And with a smile, Yunho’s friend waved at him before leaving the room. He really hoped this would work. Now, everything was in Jaejoong’s hands. The latter felt confused, worried, he didn’t know how to react… What was happening? Was Yunho really that bad? ‘Was he thinking about leaving his job because of me?’ Did something happen with the blonde girl? So many questions, yet no answers. He got up and walked slowly towards the door. He didn’t know why but he needed to see Yunho with his own eyes.

And no surprises, Yunho looked indeed ‘like shit’. Jaejoong felt his heart aching; he still loved him. The latter was sitting on a seat, near other patients, his head in his hands. The young man approached him and called his name. Yunho lifted his head, recognizing Jaejoong’s voice.

“Ja-Jaejoong… -ssi?” he felt his own voice shaking.

“Can we… talk?”

“Oh… okay,” Yunho whispered, his eyes staring at the floor.

They walked until they got to an empty hallway. The two men leaned on the wall, next to each other.

“What do you want?”

“Changmin told me you weren’t feeling good, so here I am…”

“This guy worries too much,” the resident smiled sadly. “Well, I’m fine. How about- No wait. What do you want from me exactly Jaejoong? If me being here bothers you too much, don’t worry I’ll leave the hospital. Hurting you is the last thing I want.”

“I’m worried about you. And I don’t… I don’t want you to leave,” Jaejoong finally said it out loud.

“Why? Why are you like this Jaejoong? Why are you driving me crazy? You were the one who pushed me away and now you’re here,” Yunho exclaimed, feeling nervous. “I don’t understand.”

“Now, it’s my turn to ask you a question and I’ll answer you after that. What’s wrong Yunho-ah? I’m really worried about you, I care a lot.”

“I couldn’t bear you hating me for some unknown reason. You ignored me all of a sudden and I got depressed. I didn’t know what I could have done to you. Look at me now: I’m looking like a zombie. Funny, don’t you think?” Yunho smiled sadly.

Actually no, Jaejoong wanted to say. He just looked at his feet.

“Yunho-ah, what am I to you?”

“More than a patient. More than a friend. You are someone special to me, Jaejoong.”

When he lifted his head, their eyes met and without a warning, he suddenly felt Jaejoong’s lips on his. The kiss didn’t last, just a peck on the lips but it was new for them. And it felt so right. When Jaejoong moved back, Yunho just leaned in as if he was attracted to him like a magnet and kissed him again. He held his ex-patient with an arm around Jaejoong’s body while the latter was wrapping his arms around his crush’s neck. Their bodies fitted, their tongues met, and they melted. The taller man intertwined their fingers together before his soon-to-be lover spoke.

“You have no idea how much I wanted this,” Jaejoong whispered, smiling.

Yunho hugged him as a reply after kissing his forehead.

“I think I like you,” he murmured as the other man snuggled up against him.

“Oh really? I didn’t see that coming!”

“Yeah, me too!”

The new couple parted when they heard someone walking towards them. It was… Changmin, of course. The latter clapping, making the two other men embarrassed. He laughed.

“Bambi and Hamtaro… It’s about time! I’m so proud of you,” the young man replied with emotion. “My task is done~ From now on, just call me ‘Min, the matchmaker’.”

Riiight… Once he was done teasing them, the resident left them alone. Jaejoong hugged Yunho’s waist as soon as Changmin was no where to be seen. He let his head lean on the other man’s shoulder when he took his hand in his.

“Will you really leave your job because of me?” he asked with a little voice, afraid of the answer.

“Huh? What are you talking about? I don’t want to quit.”

‘Ah… Now I understand your plan Mr. Shim Changmin,’ Jaejoong thought. Even if the guy lied, he couldn’t help being thankful to him; he had been pretty helpful. Thanks to him they were kissing in an empty hallway. They stayed together for a few minutes before leaving the place. And when they met the blonde woman, Jaejoong couldn’t help thinking: ‘I won him over you, bitch!’ Even if she wasn’t involved in their love affair.
