Pondering Life
I lay there, staring at my ceiling. My mind was wondering… no one place would it remain. Save one.
I had recently watched a certain movie. This movie was one of those that was designed to make you think, or so I saw it that way. I lay and I pondered. In this particular movie, a young love lives. A typical thing for a movie nowadays, yes, but it still managed to catch my attention. For, in this movie, a threat intimidated the entire human race; an outer threat.
They are bombarded with choices throughout all of the goings on. Each of the decisions… made me cry. In one particular part, they are faced with the girl's family being left behind and killed and her being saved, or her remaining with them and being killed as well… she chooses to stay. The two are separated.
At another part, the boy chooses to go back for her. He makes his way to her house, to find she is not there. He takes a motorbike, and rides like the wind to the highway to find her. He does, and her parents force her to go with him to safety.
Now, this is what I ponder on… would anyone, ever in their right mind, ever out of pure love, come back for me…?
