LOL Sounds like break time. I've basically come to the conclusion that I'll never write comedy. I mean, maybe I can inject a funny line here and there, but I don't write comedies. You know? I've never tried, but then, I think that particular talent is that, a talent. Maybe I'm not a funny person, i dunno.
I'd suggest forcing yourself to write THE BIG SCENE. You don't have to keep it. I'd be happy to help if you need anything, not that I'm great with BIG SCENES. :)
Nah, you're plenty funny! But that's the thing. I think who we are differs greatly from who we are when we write. Writing is an outlet in that it helps us to tap into parts of our selves that isn't accessible by any other means. I mean, it's more than that, but I think that's part of it

LOL - I'd love to see the girl and the missile story.
Your take on writing is interesting. I'm a pretty quiet, class, typical introvert, but through writing, I get to do/see/explore so much that I would never do otherwise. Maybe I AM really funny, hilarious, even, so I don't need to write that! haha. not.
Good luck on the BIG SCENE. One of my betas once forced strongly encouraged me to write a big scene (end of the war-type scene) and I did, and it wasn't too bad.
I feel your pain, oh so much. I am 25 now, been writing since I was 14 and for the longest times what should have been novel length was 30 pages...yeah, so wasn't happening for me. Everything I did was dialog, there was not description, there was no setting of the plot, everything just happened and was over. I had no development. The last 2 years I've had to really work on writing without dialog to make myself know that I could write a story, I could create something that had depth and plot without having to revert to the characters speaking the story

I don't know how advanced your story writing is; probably much more than mine. But here's what I've figured out so far. You're already doing it above, when you break the usual form of paragraphs into short standalone sentences, or even single words like "Nothing." Just use your analysis skills to see why you do that, and when to do it less or more. All I know so far is

Is it your PP/HP, by chance?
