I actually do ship Tseng/Elena, especially considering it's pretty much canon, though not as much as I ship Tseng/Cissnei thanks to our old RPs from years back. \8D/ But then I also ship Tseng/Aerith, 'cause hell, his affection for her is canon too.

I don't think I've ever seen Elena done right in RP. She's either played as a total moron, or as way too mouthy and sure of herself, which she's really not. As the newbie of the group, she tries way too hard to impress the others, especially Tseng, and yeah, she has to stick her foot in her mouth a few times, but she's not incompetent, just like Reno isn't incompetent. If they were, they wouldn't be Turks in the first place.

Tseng/Cissnei is my OTP, thanks to our RP, which is precisely why I'm so damn overprotective of the pairing. OUR damn pairing.

Tseng is shippable because he's sexy, and also because of the multitude of layers to his personality that are pretty much impossible to get right. When it is done right, you end up with a wonderfully human character behind all that cool professionalism and strong sense of duty. (Tseng is another character I very, very rarely see done right in RP. All in all the Turks get a pretty shit deal when it comes to that

It's the human characters that I've always found best and the most fun to play - Godot Ciss most of my OC's ever Mika (Though uh. It's Mika. She's in her own category) Not human as in that's what they are, but human as in their flaws characteristics etc.

I've never understood fandom's need to have every character in a relationship. Every single one, even if it's OOC for a character to commit. (And said relationships usually turn into sparkly happy no-problems-ever TWU WUV relationships. Which are inane and unrealistic and so goddamn boring to play out.)
