This is my only update for the event though I did post to Twitter a few times.
I started well reading for 9 hours before my eyes started closing. I did have a short break for tea and a longer one for dinner. In that time I finished T. R. Ragan's Dead Weight (57 pages) and read Terry Pratchett's The Wee Free Men (404 pages). I also made a modest start on Louise Voss' and Mark Edwards' The Blissfully Dead, reading 56 pages.
Although I was up before 8am Sunday morning was full of distractions mainly cat related and so in all I only read for a further 4 hours. During this I read a further 170 pages of The Blissfully Dead.
Totals for Event

Closing Survey
1. Which hour was most daunting for you? Sunday morning when the world and my cats kept interrupting me.
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? As always I recommend fast paced crime thrillers. T. R. Ragan has a fun series though disturbing in places but has a string female lead.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? Nothing comes to mind this time.
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? Again I was a little too hooked on my book to go on-line much this time though I appreciated the Twitter feed and updated my progress there.
5. How many books did you read? I completed 1 book and parts of two others.
6. What were the names of the books you read? Dead Weight, The Wee Free Men and The Blissfully Dead.
7. Which book did you enjoy most? The Wee Free Men as it was good to return to Terry Pratchett's humour.
8. Which did you enjoy least? None really as they were all so different.
9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders? Not a cheerleader.
10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time? If nothing prevents me I'll certainly sign up as a reader again in April.
