This week I read Khaled Hosseini's And the Mountains Echoed (416 pages) and made a start on Desiree Bombenon's The Congregation (146 pages). No, I am not a glutton for punishment, reading a few pages of this second book revealed considerable improvement in terms of its writing.
I continued my dual reads/listens of Mercedes Lackey's Reserved for the Cat (64 pages) and Kate Atkinson's A God in Ruins (44 pages).
While driving I continued with Elizabeth Peters' The Ape Who Guards the Balance, listening to the equivalent of 100 pages.
My page count for the week was 770.
I have reviews outstanding for And the Mountains Echoed and Of Monsters and Madness.
This coming week I expect to continue with the incomplete novels above and a re=read of The Girl on the Train as it is selected for our reading group. Unsure whether I will re--read completely or just a skim to refresh my memory before the meeting.
