My Reading Week 20th - 26th April 2015

Apr 27, 2015 19:37

During the week I completed Suzanne Berne's The Dogs of Littlefield (99 pages) and Kamila Shamsie's A God in Every Stone (198 pages).

After a halting start on Book 3 of his series I did a quick re-read of James Oswald's The Book of Souls (341 pages) as I had forgotten important details about the events of that novel. Then I returned to the start of The Hangman's Song (147 pages). I also began the next in the 2015 Baileys Prize shortlist, Sarah Waters' The Paying Guests, reading 88 pages.

On Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning I took part in Dewey's 24-Hour Read-a-thon, For it I finished the last section of A God in Every Stone and then read Paula Hawkins' thriller The Girl on the Train, which amounted to 325 pages. I had some time left and so began Gabriella Pierce 's 666 Park Avenue, reading 106 pages.

I continued with Elizabeth Peters' The Snake, the Crocodile and the Dog as my audiobook-in-the-car and this week I listened to the equivalent of 33 pages.

My page count for the week was 1,337.

I have reviews outstanding for the two Gail Carriger books, The Dogs of Littlefield, A God in Every Stone, and The Girl on the Train.

For the coming week I plan to continue reading the above partially read books and catch up on reviews.
