On Monday I completed Anders de la Motte's Bubble, reading 277 pages.
During the week I read Erin Kelly's The Sick Rose (352 pages) and Karen Harper's first Elizabeth I mystery, The Poyson Garden (302 pages).
Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning was the bi-annual Dewey's 24-hour Read-a-thon. I read Colin Bateman's The Prisoner of Brenda (408 pages), Kate Ellis' The Shroud Maker (374 pages) and Colleen Oakes' The Queen of Hearts: The Crown (222 pages).
On Thursday I got my car back and so made a modest start on Kerry Greenwood's Dead Man's Chest, listening to the equivalent of 17 pages.
My page count for the week was 1,952.
I have reviews outstanding for all of the above books. I hope to catch up during the next few days.
This coming week I plan to make a start on one or more of the novels for the library shadowing group for the
2014 Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction. I'll probably start with Hannah Kent's Burial Rites as I have it on my Kindle already.
