Summary: As the pair of former Hogwarts students start to get used to being parents, they also gain a new understanding of their own relationship.
She almost hadn't noticed it. That gentle patter on the window was drowned out at first by the splashes of water as the contents of the tiny bath dampened her clothes. Still she didn't mind. Even as she felt the front of her top becoming damp, the soapy water seeping into her skin, she smiled. The tiny form just cooed again, splashing her more as she kicked and wriggled while the woman held her in place.
"You really like that hmm?" she laughed, picking up the sponge and rubbing gently over the baby girl, not caring that she could feel the ends of her hair sticking to her clothes due to the moisture. She really should have tied in back, but oh well, nothing could be done now. It was habit now when she was home to leave it loose and flowing down her back. He said he liked it that way after all.
Smiling more, the woman finally picked up on the soft pattering sound, turning her head to see tiny droplets run down the outside of the frosted glass of the bathroom window. It seemed like it was steadily getting heavier, making Tsubaki bite her lip. She knew her fiance had offered to go out and pick up groceries of his own volition, but as she wrapped the squirming baby in a fluffy towel, she sighed.
"Let's hope your Daddy didn't caught in that." she murmured to the little girl, holding her close as she walked out of the bathroom, drying her off and glancing down the hall. He should be back anytime now, at least she hoped.
