Coming out of my deep dark hole for a minute

I have been so busy lately. Not that I'm not always busy, but even more so lately. I am now engaged to my lovely boy Brent, who got down on his knee when we were at what I thought was a fairly typical just going out to dinner thing. He started asking me if I loved him, and I said yes, of course. He asked me like three more times, and then said how much? I said that I wanted to marry him and have babies with him and everything else, and he said "that's what I wanted to hear, because I have a question for you," and he popped the question! He said he even asked my Dad for permission! It must've been hard; we were at Bravo's on Bethel Rd, and it was super busy, and I know how shy he is. Of course I started crying and we were kissing a ton, probably totally annoying everyone. People started congratulating us and clapping, even coming up to the table. The waiter was a sweet guy... he let us have a few minutes, then gave us a free chocolate dessert (the perfect capper to the meal). I wanted to go to my parents and share the news, and show them my ring and all, and he said he'd seen my mom that day, but was being really shady about it. I didn't know why until we got there and he gave me PART TWO of my surprise... a new Pomeranian puppy! He is soooo cute, a total fluffball-- Brent said he really wanted me to have the puppy experience since he knew how much I love Gollum and have never had one of my own. I named him Fizzgig (from Dark Crystal), and though he has been making messes galore (doesn;t quite have facility control yet), he is adorable and very sweet and generous with love. He also is a full-time playmate for Gollum, which is awesome. So probably next summer or fall I'll be getting hitched. I don't want to get in the way of Kyle's wedding, and I want to be out of school. Don't want to stress my parents out too much either. So that happened April 15th, and since then has kinda been a blur, a good one though. Today I went shopping with my good friend Tiffany, and bought the cutest stuff (and a BDay present for Brent-- May 8), and then she, I and Brent went to Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy which was one of the best movies I have ever seen. An awesome book adaptation for one thing of a completely awesome book (my Dad has it!), and it was a mixture of science and fantasy and comedy and romance that would be fine viewing for anyone-- kids and adults alike. AND, Jim Henson's Creature Shop handmade all the aliens and things, which was the best part. Anything Henson will be pretty much genius (in my humble opinion). It rocked! Now off to bed and sweet dreams...
