I think it was implied. For instance, he never read my work or expressed a desire to do so. I, on the other hand, was immersed in his work. I was one of his biggest fans. We spent countless nights--during our union--jamming out with friends, but always to his songs, never anything I had written. In fact, I don't ever recall him asking what I'd like to play. It was just assumed that I'd play it, and I did. I don't mind shining light onto others. In fact, it's one of the things that I do best. But if I am the only one doing it, it starts to feel like I am being muted. With him, I was. He never asked me to do so, but it was very much implied.

I do think two bright people can shine together, but they have to be willing to shine together and share the shine, not one person hold most of it and the other give hers away repeatedly.

Weird sandwich combinations are my speciality. I'm especially fond of a barlett pear and bleu cheese combination, too. If ever you make the mandarine orange-and-avocado sandwich, be sure to add some sprouts to it. It needs those for crunch.
