Bounty

The garden bounty has begun in earnest. The heat wave has continued without much of a rest (luckily it is also raining, making for ideal agricultural conditions).

Brought home okra, zucchini, cucumbers, basil (for pesto), carrots, and jalapenos last night. The weekend before, the 4 of us dug all the garlic. We haven't weighed it yet as it is hanging in the workshop to dry. My guess it will be in excess of 200 pounds. Much better than last year - we planted 50 pounds last year and harvested 37. That's what you call a serious crop failure!
