Long-time readers may recall the Pumpkin Ale I started
almost a year ago. I bottled it today. I filled 60 bottles, although the last one had quite a bit of sediment come through the tubing.
The flavor was just slightly sour and mildly alcoholic, resembling nothing so much as a low-power clone of my
pumpkin mead.
Before bottling, I added 0.5 oz. of pumpkin pie spice to the priming sugar, and pasteurized them for 10 minutes, at a temperature that rose from 140 to 160 F. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out, in a couple of weeks.
Edited to add: Oh, I almost forgot. 6.49% alcohol.
