Garb - The Next Step
So, this evening, I finished sewing together the basic tunic. (Would have happened Sunday, except I messed up and put a couple of seams on backwards. Took far longer to rip those seams out than stitch them in.)
So I'm considering dying it. Specifically, I'm thinking about woad. More specific than that, I'm considering the woad powder, and instructions, peddled by these folks.
After this, I'm intending to locate appropriate trim, and attach on the wrists, collar, and hem of the tunic. I'm also planning on constructing pants, and dying them with madder.
I'm open to advice, instructions, and admonitions. How am I planning to do it wrong? What's a better idea?
