I'm Murr. Or Kuri. Or even MurrKuri.
I've been making a lot more friends than I thought I ever would on LJ, so I figured why not make an intro post! :D
Hm... What usually comes next? I'm 21, very soon going on 22... You know what. Someone, pengwendy once wrote an introduction for me and I'm going to go from there, ya?
"Kuri is a 21-year-old from Staten Island, NY. She currently lives in Minnesota where she recently graduated with a degree in Japanese.
Until a year or so ago, her main fandom was Hello!Project. Like Yoko, she likes the older ladies, claiming an interest in “golden age” Morning Musume members.
She was first introduced to the world of Johnny's through a drama called My Boss, My Hero. Here, much to her chagrin, I will point out that she fell in love with Tegoshi. Over Nagase. I mean, come on. Who chooses OMG-Is-it-a-girl-or-boy-Tegoshi over hot-hunk-of-man-sex-Nagase? End rant. At this point she became somewhat familiar with the group NEWS, although she wasn't a hardcore fan.
It was in May of 2009, when she was forced to be roommates with two major Johnny's fans that the conversion to Johnnyism began. After much poking/prodding, the pair convinced Kuri to go with them to a Kanjani8 concert. She already knew Ryo and loved Japanese music so convincing her wasn't too hard. Needless to say, after that night, she was hooked.
I, Gwendy, would like to take sole responsibility for making her a Kanjani8 fan, but sadly I think It's Yoko's fault. Because like the saying goes - once you go black, you never go back.
Her favorite Johnnies consist of Yokoyama Yuu, Ohkura Tadayoshi, Maruyama Ryuhei (and the rest of KJ8), Tegoshi Yuya, Sakurai Sho, Ohno Satoshi, and the underage ones from Hey! Say! Jump!"
That's pretty comprehensive... for my lj persona, anyway. I'm part of another fandom (Hello!Project), but that one is way more active somewhere other than here.
I tend not to give out my name, because it's far too unique. Seriously. This is not me bragging. Googling my name ONLY BRINGS UP ME. >< Though I'm not exactly hiding it (other than the fact that I won't say it here). If you look, you'll find it quite easily, I think.
Hm... what other things are there to say? I like to translate, though I personally think I'm shit on my own, so I teamed up with the lovely pengwendy over at aysubs ... We're very. VERY. my pace. :Db
I write at several other places. International Wota, J-excite, Tin Tee Treehouse, and my own personal blogs. Sometimes, I think I've stretched myself out thin on the internets, but it's manageable... OH. One last thing. TWITTER. Warning. I'm very active... so much so that I scare myself. But it's mostly replies to other people, so if you don't know those people, then you're good! :D
