Did you know that each year American consume enough Brach's Candy Corn that if laid end-to-end, would circle the earth 4.25 times?
This moment of trivia is brought to you by my favorite seasonal candy - Brach's Candy Corn. Man, I love this stuff. I pretty much only eat them at this time of year. Though I have to say that this bag doesn't seem as fresh as some I've had in the past. The candy corn seems to be a bit harder than I remember. Who knows, maybe the "gotta make it healthy" folks have gotten to the recipe. Though I don't know how you can make healthy a recipe where the first 4 ingredients are sugar, corn syrup, salt and honey. I guess the fact that it isn't high fructose corn syrup makes all the difference? Or that it has honey in it? Needless to say, I've definitely eaten more than my 22 piece serving today.
Anyway, just thought I would share. I'll have to go out and get another bag later today....
