Sigh, what an icky kind of day- Parts I and II
And guess who has to go out and play volleyball tonight. Ugh! I'm not really looking forward to it one bit. Well, I want to play but not out in the rain and cold. And we've got the 9:00 game so you know it's going to be really icky out. Yes, I am whining just a bit. Well, it turned out not to be too bad at all for vball. It wasn't raining and wasn't too cold either. The only really bad thing was that the sand was really hard. That makes it great for jumping but not too good for ones knees and hips. We won all 3 games and that has us as being undefeated so far. I had a pretty decent game. Well, let's say my serving game was good. But my net play, not so much. I did have some good plays and am finally getting my spike down somewhat. Wound up staying for free play and really got some good spikes in. I'm making the effort to pull my elbow back and hit it which does seem to help.
Now it's Thursday and I'm in my empty classroom since my afternoon class got canceled. While that is nice and all. It's not a good thing because that means we have 17-20 people that we have to fit into some other class. Which means that I most likely will get stuck teaching more of these classes than I thought I would. Here I was hoping that I would be done by Monday. Sigh! I still have to get through Saturday training. ALL day Saturday training too. Then I'm off to Winston on Sunday. And hopefully will be done with this project and then on to my next ones.
Also found out that I am going to be getting certified for online training. Wheee!!! It'll be nice to put on my resume but I don't know how much I will really learn. The challenging part will be taking the classes since a majority of them fall when I'm going to be running training classses. But since my boss is the one who signed me up for it, I think I will be taking them.
Things in other areas seem to be going well. I finally have picked up little sample size cans of paint in the colors I want to use downstairs, but I still need to put them on the wall. Maybe I will do that tonight. I'm slowly figuring out colors I want to use in most rooms except for the guest room and the office. But it's not like I'll be having any guests visit anytime soon. Well, any guests that will be sleeping in the guest bedroom that is. *sniff* One of these days I need to tackle the stuff in the guest bedroom and get that arranged just a bit better. But that will need to be when I actually have some time off. Maybe Thanksgiving? Still not really sure what's going on with John, but we're having fun and I'll just leave it at that.
Ok, lunch is over, time to get back to work.
